Apartment at Dubai Marina

The apartment had to be optimised rather than expanded: a kitchen large enough to cook in properly and open to the living area, and storage in every space that could take it. The floor plan is the first thing I work on — it defines the space and how it flows, and it's the first thing a client talks about too: the point where you start to understand each other. He likes clean, minimal design and looks at every detail; she likes colour — the scheme had to hold both.
