Five hundred square metres, four bedrooms, and a client who wanted two separate living areas. The kitchen sat in the middle: I proposed the large living on one side and the dining on the other, but the family preferred formal living and dining together, with the family room, desk and a corner set aside for their nephews to play on the opposite side. They also wanted storage everywhere, so I built the wardrobes in view and made to measure, rather than filling the house with bulky units.

The value I got out of working with Marianna is to avoid the headache every client has to go through during the renovation process. She provides regular updates throughout the project and always provides solutions, never a problem. Design wise, Marianna and her team managed to meet and even exceed my expectations as a result.

All the joinery was made by my father, Domenico, in Italy and shipped to Dubai. The soft gold and bronze finishes were the client's request; the rest of the scheme I kept minimal.
