Il progetto è stato disegnato per intero dallo studio di Piero Lissoni a Milano. Mi ha chiamata lui stesso per lavorare come architetto locale: in cantiere ero i suoi occhi. Tra il cliente, l'architetto e il gestore dell'hotel c'erano tre priorità diverse nella stessa stanza — l'architetto voleva solo i pezzi italiani di capitolato, lo sviluppatore guardava al prezzo, il gestore voleva che funzionasse come hotel. Il mio compito stava in mezzo a queste tre: coordinare, e tenere in moto il cantiere.

Sedute Living Divani e illuminazione Flos, dal capitolato disegnato a Milano. Pareti rivestite in ottone e porte a bilico in ottone a tutta altezza contro il legno scuro; un bar in lacca blu profondo dietro uno schermo in mattoni di terracotta; sedie da pranzo in rattan sotto soffitti a doghe di legno — e nei bagni, un patchwork di maiolica bianca e blu dietro lavabi in acciaio nero.
